The Eternal Playground

The point of crisis is the exact point in time when we begin recalling the past, rather than forgetting it.

  1. Our memories play with us as we play with our memories. Sometimes we forget precisely when the game gets tough. The time of trauma. The traumatized have trouble with chronology, and with thinking of origins and finding the origin.

I also believe in Nietzsche’s active forgetting, with which the burdens of the encrustations of our past and our memories fall from us, not through any repression or denial, but through our own active power, growing past and breaking through those encrustations with its shoots.

Thank you for this ditty. May you thrive.

    Grace and power and dust.
