In Episode 6, Lola & The Poets is joined by Don Roberto, dear friend, medical anthropologist, medicine man, globetrotter and polymath, raised in Indonesia and London, UK, based in Taiwan, for what became an extensive, rich, sassy discussion on a glorious variety of topics, ranging from childhood imaginal friends and UFO experiences, our mutual liminal multi-universe existences, crossing lands and cultures early on in life, parallels in the trajectory of processing beliefs into praxis, encounters with the serendipitous numinous intertwined with the divine ridiculous, and then to what Don Roberto is uniquely qualified to discuss – shamanism and its lore, medicine cultures and practices across the globe, particularly his own Shipibo plant spirit healing lineage in Peru, our plant teachers as ambassadors of Mother Earth, body work and hypnotherapy, the role of music in creating sacred space, soul retrieval and entity removal, sorcery and cultural appropriation, psychonauts and psychedelia, and much more.
